Learning Objectives: 

  • Analyze various teaching methodologies, such as case-based learning, flipped classroom approaches, and experiential activities, to tailor instructional strategies to diverse learning styles.
  • Develop valid and reliable assessment tools including performance assessments, formative assessments, and self-assessments techniques, to measure student mastery and guide instructional adjustments.

This course is designed to empower dental hygiene educators with the pedagogical necessary to deliver effective and engaging instruction in the field of dental materials. By focusing on both theoretical foundations and hands-on teaching strategies, participants will develop the expertise to create a dynamic learning environment that enhances students’ understanding and application of dental materials concepts in clinical practice.
